Ulcinj

Ulcinj or Dolcinium, a city in the extreme south of the Montenegrin coast with a unique sandy beach 12 kilometers long, the famous Velika Plaža, which stretches from the city to the mouth of the Bojana River in the Adriatic Sea, where the famous and unique Ada Bojana is located. The sand itself is of volcanic origin and has healing properties. On the other side, parallel to Veliko Plaža, there is a bird reserve with flamingos, a nature park, Šaško lake and Možura mountain. In the narrower part of the city, another unique attraction on the entire Adriatic and the Mediterranean, the Women's Beach, where healing sulfur mineral water (spring) flows directly into the sea.

Apart from Mala Plaža (pictured) in the city center below the Old Town of Ulcinj, towards the west there is a huge olive grove covering the entire hill, with some olive trees up to 800 years old, at the end of which you descend to Valdanos Beach, a quiet cove with a pebble beach and plenty of natural shade. Above the Valdanos beach there is a viewpoint from where you can see Valdanos and to the east Velika Plaža all the way to the mountains in neighboring Albania.
